Running in of the new engine

During the first thousand kilometers the rubbing parts of the engine (pistons and cylinders; bearings of sliding and shaft) have to have an opportunity to be earned extra. It is necessary that it occurred at low loading and low frequency of rotation. The subsequent engine capacity and term of its service depend on it. Therefore:

  • Do not squeeze out full "gas"; if you have an automatic transmission, prevent the provision of full loading and sharp pressing against the stop an accelerator pedal. Maximum frequency of rotation: 4200 rpm!
  • Squeeze out more than 4200 rpm not earlier, than the engine will reach working temperature; at the cold engine switch earlier.
  • When passing the first 1000 — 1500 km the engine should be accelerated gradually to the maximum speed or the most admissible frequency of rotation (quickly 6300 rpm).

 Hint: everything that here was told about the new engine, needs even more to be considered at the engine passing a running in after capital repairs which, as we know, react to the wrong manner of driving more sensitively.
