Accumulator charging

Connection of the device for accumulator charging

  1. To connect a positive wire to a positive conclusion of the accumulator, negative – to negative.
  2. At charging the accumulator can remain in the car.
  3. It is not obligatory to remove accumulator wires at the weak charger.
  4. The stopper of the accumulator can remain established. The gas which is formed in the course of charging will be able to come out through air vents in a stopper.
  5. Charging current has to make for a start about 10% of capacity of the accumulator (for example, 4 A at the rechargeable battery with a capacity of 40 of Ach) and to decrease automatically in the course of a charge.
  6. The battery was completely charged if density of acid does not rise within two hours.
  7. When charging battery the distilled water partially breaks up. Vials of gas are formed of hydrogen and oxygen – high-explosive detonating gas.
  8. Therefore it is necessary to provide good airing of the room, especially if there is charging high current.
  9. At accumulator charging it is impossible to smoke close or to apply naked flame.
  10. Detonating gas can ignite also from a spark at installation or a detachment of the charger or wires of the accumulator.
